Powering Canada's Industrial Strategy

Current Initiative
Collaboratively shaping ideas for a Canadian industrial strategy to drive investment in Canada's economy and low-carbon growth.

Overview

Canada lacks a unified industrial strategy, and current fragmented approaches leave investors uncertain about long-term priorities for sectors like energy, manufacturing, and critical resources.

This initiative will test and refine a national framework to build investor confidence, align industry priorities, and accelerate low-carbon growth.

Why It Matters

Hypothesis

By testing and refining national industrial strategy frameworks through diverse, collaborative input and engagement, we can build investor confidence and align federal, provincial, and industry priorities for low-carbon growth. Providing critical clarity of purpose and a unifying mission will strengthen alignment across sectors, unlock the highest-impact actions to accelerate economy-wide growth, and help secure Canada's future as a global energy and industrial leader.

Industrial Roll Inspection

Our Approach

This initiative will bring together regional, Indigenous and industry leaders, policymakers, academics, labour,  and other critical perspectives to build and test a policy framework for a successful Canadian industrial strategy that both meets this turbulent moment and promotes long-term stability and security.
