Energy Futures Lab Testifies on Canada’s Critical Materials Value Creation Before House of Commons Standing Committee on Industry and Technology

Alison Cretney recently appeared before the House of Commons Standing Committee on Industry and Technology (INDU) to provide testimony on the impacts of U.S. tariffs on Canada’s steel, aluminum, and advanced manufacturing sectors.

The testimony highlighted how the status quo risks creating structural vulnerabilities in integrated North American value chains, and outlined the opportunity to build more resilient domestic ecosystems in critical minerals, metallurgy, and advanced manufacturing.

This reminds all of us to walk in a good way and remember our commitments to Indigenous Peoples.
