Maya Douglas

Maya Douglas is an innovative risk advisor. With over 15 years experience in sustainability, she strengthens corporate strategy, compliance, and disclosures when the stakes are high. Since writing her first sustainability report in 2013, her work has expanded to include enterprise risk management, internal audit, assurance, alongside issues that increasingly shape risk profiles, such as greenwashing, shareholder activism, and sustainable investing due diligence.

Her credentials include the LEED Green Associate and Environmental Professional (EP-Sustainability) designations, and in 2024 she completed the Climate Risk and ESG for Corporate Governance program at UBC’s Allard School of Law. In 2025, Maya was recognized by Joule (formerly Young Women in Energy) for exceptional leadership in Alberta’s energy industry.

Maya holds a Master of Laws in International Law with a focus on environment and climate change from the University of Edinburgh Law School.
